Extended trading session on the occasion of Akshya Tritiya will be conducted by NSE and BSE. This extended trading session will be available only for Gold ETF (Gold Exchange Traded Funds) and all other securities and futures and options segment will be inactive during these extended trading hours. Further, to encourage investors to invest on this auspicious day of Akshya Tritiya on 13 May 2013, both National Stock Exchange of India and Bombay Stock Exchange have waived of transaction charges. Waiver of transaction charges will be applicable only for Gold ETF securities and will be valid for all transactions done in Gold ETF on 13 May 2013, Monday.
Normal trading hours are unchanged on NSE and trading will take place in all securities including Gold ETF during this period from 09:15 Hrs to 15:30 hours

The following Gold ETF securities are only available for trading during these extended trading session hours on National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). All the orders placed during regular trading hours which are pending at the close of normal Market (15:30 Hrs) will be carried forward to extended trading session hours in National Stock Exchange of India. In Bombay Stock Exchange, these pending orders will be cancelled and will NOT be carried forward to extended hours trading session. On NSE, pending orders outstanding at the close of regular market can be cancelled in pre open session of extended trading which is between 16:15 Hrs and 16:30 Hrs.
On both NSE and BSE, no post closing session will be available for Gold ETF securities
