Extended MCX NCDEX Commodity Trading hours from 04 Nov 2013

MCX NCDEX Commodity Trading hours are extended till 11:55 Hrs IST (23:55 Hrs) with effective from 04 Nov 2013. These revised trading hours on Indian Commodity Exchanges (MCX,NCDEX) will be effective from 04 November 2013 to 08 Mar 2014. The change in extension of trading hours in NCDEX is notified vide circularNo NCDEX/TRADING-104/2013/317 Dated 18 October 2013.

Every year commodity exchanges in India (MCX, NCDEX) changes trading hours in exchanged to accommodate International Day light saving timings. In winter session (Which starts usually in the month of November) the timings in commodity exchanges will be extended till 23:55 hours. In summer session, which will be usually in the month of March, trading hours will be up to 23:30 Hrs.

Although only NCDEX notified the changes in trading hours MCX NCDEX Commodity Trading hours will be same. This is due to the fact that similar commodities trade in both exchanges. A notification from MCX in regard to evening trading hours change is expected soon.
